FeedFare ("we," "our," or "the App") is a social food-sharing application developed by Nick Rae, based in Merced, California. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, username, and profile photo.

b. User Content

Photos, descriptions, recipes, comments, and other content you choose to post.

c. Device Permissions & Data

• Camera & Photo Library — Used solely to let you capture or select food photos for your posts.
• Location (optional) — If you grant permission, we may attach an approximate location to a post (e.g., restaurant name or city). You can disable this at any time in your device settings.
• Push Notifications — Used to send likes, comments, follows, and other activity alerts. You can opt out in device settings.

d. Usage & Analytics

We collect anonymous analytics (screens viewed, feature usage, crash logs) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.

e. Purchase Information

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive a transaction identifier and subscription status to unlock premium features.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Display your posts and profile to other users
• Send notifications you have opted into
• Process and manage subscriptions
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:

• Service Providers — Hosting, analytics, and payment processing partners (e.g., RevenueCat, Apple) who act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements — When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Safety — To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings; we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Children's Privacy

FeedFare is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will promptly delete it.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS) and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data via your account settings or by contacting us.
• Revoke camera, photo, location, or notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
• California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA by emailing us.

8. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
